Website Development Process
The general website development process for any online presence from a basic website through to a complex application is similar to the design process and involves four major steps.
Discover. Through a series of initial meetings and interviews, we outline what your objectives are and how they align with your overall business goals.
Determine. With the overall objectives in place, we then identify the major components of the project and their respective scopes as it relates to the overall project budget - without going into exhaustive detail - thus eliminating large amounts of unnecessary planning and remaining agile.
Design & Develop. In most cases, especially in the agile world, design and development run in tandem, with various pieces of functionality and visual components building off of each other. This keeps code and graphics separate, allowing one facet to change at any time with only minimal effect on the other - again creating flexibility for changes in scope, client needs and market-place.
Deploy. Depending on the complexity of the project, the deployment / launch stage of the process is either very simple with minimal testing, or involves a series of alpha and beta launches, with subsequent testing. In all instances, the final product is tested thoroughly throughout the development process, as well as before and after deployment.
